Who writes here
Sophie De Clercq has written about Belgian gambling sites since 2021 and puts every operator to the test focused mainly on support and limits. Based in Brugge.

What the law imposes
The Belgian legislator approaches player protection above the European average in strictness which feeds straight into your play limit. Every licence holder opens your account at €200 per week.
The EPIS system is the regulator's central exclusion list: the exclusion applies instantly across the whole licensed landscape. Unlicensed sites are not connected to it. The bar has stood at 21 since 1 September 2024, lottery aside; the National Lottery is the exception at 18. The check is automatic.
